Experts believe that a bottle of nail polish can be kept for about 2 years. Of course it depends on how you store your nail polish and how you handle it. If you store your nail polish bottles UPRIGHT, your nail polish can be kept for quite a long time. It will clump less and the cap will not stick.
In principle, every beauty product has a symbol consisting of a jar with an open lid and a number above it with a time indication, for example 12M. This means that the product can be kept for 12 months after opening. However, it may be that your nail polish can still be used after those 12 months. In principle, nail polish does not spoil.

If your nail polish has thickened you can add some nail polish thinner to give it new life. A few drops of remover is enough to dilute the nail polish. Shake the bottle back and forth a few times for good results.
Never use nail polish remover to dilute your nail polish. Nail polish remover is specially made to remove nail polish from your nails. So it will only destroy the paint.
Do you get bubbles on your nails? Then don’t immediately throw away your nail polish. Then try rolling the bottle back and forth between your 2 palms instead of shaking it. Also give each layer enough time to dry.
Do not leave your bottle open longer than is really necessary. If too much air gets into the bottle, your nail polish will thicken and make it less easy to apply.
But… If the lacquer is divided into 2 layers and is still divided into 2 layers after shaking it well, it can be written off straight away.
But… If you open the bottle of nail polish and clumps of nail polish remain on the brush, you can say that it is better to throw away the nail polish.
Don’t just throw your nail polish bottle in the garbage bin. If the bottle is made of glass, you can throw it away with any remaining nail polish in the glass container. The glass recycler can handle that very well. The nail polish and other pollution burns in the melting process. You can do the recycler a favor by already throwing the brush with the residual waste.
